Will My Life Insurance Pay Out - OppLoans

Will My Life Insurance Pay Out - OppLoans Will My Life Insurance Pay Out? Will My Life Insurance Pay Out?Be prepared for when being prepared isn’t prepared enough.Thinking about your eventual death or the death of a loved one is not particularly fun, to say the least. But if you are a regular reader of the OppLoans Blog, you probably know making end-of-life plans early on can save you and your loved ones from extra heartache once the inevitable happens. One wise consideration to help prevent financial catastrophe â€" such as unexpected debt or personal loans â€" after the death of a family member is life insurance. On a basic level, a life insurance policy is taken out on a specific person and pays out upon their death. In exchange for regular premium payments during the individual’s life, a preset amount of money will be paid out from the insurance company to the designated beneficiary or beneficiaries. It can make a massive difference when it comes to costs associated with burial and medical debt, especially if the deceased was a primary earner.Unfortu nately, there are instances in which a life insurance policy may not pay out. It is important to familiarize yourself with those instances so you can minimize the odds of an unpleasant surprise at the worst possible time.Less cause for alarmFirst let us offer some good news after the initial gloom. While spending hours on the phone with an insurance representative shortly after losing someone you love would certainly be a nightmare, it is not as likely to happen as you might fear.“We have done a lot of research into this topic, analyzing schedule F of a company’s statutory statements where they must report how many claims are resisted each year,” says John Holloway, licensed life insurance agent and co-founder of the digital life insurance brokerage NoExam.com. “After reviewing the schedule F report for many of the largest life insurance companies, there are surprisingly few claims that are resisted.”Be honestWhen life insurance companies do resist paying out, the cause ci ted will often be misrepresentation by the policyholder.“One of the easiest ways for life insurance to not pay out to your beneficiary is if you were not 100% honest when answering the health questions on your application,” warns Matt Schmidt, CEO of Burial Insurance Pro. “If you pass away in the first two years of a policy, companies will contest the death benefit, and further investigate your health. In the event the insurance carrier discovers a material misrepresentation, they may refuse to pay the death benefit. There are a wide range of health questions you will be required to answer when you are applying for life insurance coverage. It may seem personal, but by being honest, you will lower your chance of issues down the line.“If you lied on your application, withheld important medical or health information, or intentionally provided inaccurate health or medical information, then this would be considered fraud,” explains Randy VanderVaate, owner and CEO of Funeral Fun ds. “Fraud can include not including past or current medications, smoking or nicotine use, dangerous hobbies, or current medical conditions on your life insurance application.”Noncovered cause of deathThere are multiple kinds of death that will let the insurance company off the hook. You will have to read through your specific policy to familiarize yourself with all of the particulars.“Some policies cover only some kinds of death,” says Kathryn Casna, a life insurance specialist with TermLife2Go. “Accidental death and dismemberment, for example, covers you only if you have an accident. If you die of cancer or heart disease, your beneficiaries will not receive the death benefit payout. If you want coverage for those causes, you will need to buy another policy.” Suicide or murder by a beneficiary may also void life insurance policies.Wait timesMany policies will not kick in immediately. It is vital to know if this is the case with your policy before you sign up for it.“S ome life insurance policies will have a waiting period whereby the contract specifically states that the insurance company will not pay out the death benefit for any nonaccidental death during this time,” says Anthony Martin, CEO and owner of Choice Mutual. “In general, a waiting period will last two to three years if there is one. For example, all guaranteed acceptance life insurance plans from any company will have a waiting period. Those policies have no health or lifestyle underwriting, so the issuing insurance company knows nothing about the health of the applicant. They have to impose a waiting period on those plans to prevent people on hospice care from buying them and collecting a big check within a few months.”Remember your paymentsFinally, the most obvious reason life insurance may not give you money is because you stopped giving money to them.“If you do not pay the premiums on a policy and the contract becomes inactive, then the policy will not pay,” Martin clar ifies. “You could have a policy for 20 years and never miss a payment. Then if you miss a payment and pass the carrier’s defined grace period, the policy will become inactive. If you passed away at this point, the carrier would not pay out the life insurance claim.”No one wants to dwell on death. But dwelling on the specifics of insurance contracts and law after a death is not any fun either. Do your best to plan ahead as best as possible.ContributorsKathryn Casna is a life insurance specialist with TermLife2Go.com.John Holloway is a licensed life insurance agent and co-founder of the digital life insurance brokerage NoExam.com. The Personality Assessment Of A Career - 948 Words

In order to be a contributing member of society a person must offer their skill set to the work force. This can be done in the form of a job or a career. A job and a career are seemingly similar, however, are strikingly different. Both a job and a career are places people work, however, a career offers the ability for advancement, whereas a job will always remain the same. The MyPlan website seeks to inform people of careers that fit an individual’s personality, interests, values, and skills. The personality assessment is a test primarily based on Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalysis (Hoffman 2002). Freud believed a person’s behavior stemmed from their unconscious mind and that personality was formed during the first six years of life (Ciccarelli, S. K. White, J. N. 2010). He would use the psychoanalytic approach to help people suffering from depression Ciccarelli, S. K. et. al 2010). Carl Jung expanded on Freud’s psychoanalysis by creating personality models ( Hayman 1999). Jung identified four major models: intuition, feeling, thought, and sensation. These models could then be further broken down into eight different mental processes (Jung 1976). A person can only have four mental process and the models are set in groups of two. Environmental Preservation and Conservation Free Essay Example, 1750 words

Environmental preservation and conservation are both significant environmental terms driven by environmental needs, though they have differences. Preservation is making land or some other environmental resource legally unavailable to utilization or development by individuals. This means that there is total abstinence from using or utilizing a certain environmental resource. On the other hand, conservation is an active concern in sustaining, maintaining and restoring an ecosystem. In this regard, natural resources are utilized in a sustainable way that ensures that they are not depleted (Richards, para1, 1999). Conservation involves wise utilization, adaptive management, and sustainability, and maintaining the health of the environment. It also aims at ending further loss or deprivation of the environment. Conversely, preservation implies no change and no use of environmental resource thereby prohibiting anthropogenic interference in an ecosystem while keenly protecting and preservin g resources. Additionally, preservation is a requirement to reserve some habitat for environments to function properly. This means performing the manner in which the communities of plants and animals have evolved through time (Schenk, p13, 2010). Moreover, conservation frequently engages removing or substituting animal and plant species to create a healthy environment. The Tragedy Of Antigone By Sophocles - 1182 Words

The play Antigone, composed by Sophocles, informs us that fate cannot be controlled by anyone. Fate is an essential part of many tragedies. As for the characters in Antigone, their fates end up being unavoidable, whether it is due to the reason that they refused to accept it until it was very late, or they accepted the fate and permitted it to come to pass. The character’s lives possess set conclusions, and there exits some clues on what these conclusions shall be, and when they shall happen. The characters are frequently capable of knowing their fate and reacting to it. At certain periods, characters accept their fate since it is vital to them, or they trust that it is unavoidable (Stegar, 1). A vital theme of Antigone is the conflict amidst fate and a person’s action. Whereas free decisions, like the choice of Antigone to disobey Creon’s orders, are important, fate is actually accountable for most of the very overwhelming and vital occurrences of the trilogy. T hrough raising the fate’s significance, Sophocles implies that characters cannot be completely accountable for their undertakings. It gets challenging, for instance, to blame Oedipus for marrying mother, provided his ignorance (Shmoop, 3). The main character’s fate in the play â€Å"Antigone† by Sophocles shows the risks of extreme pride. The forces of the gods or fate, bears grave and weighty impacts on the lives of human beings. Jaqcueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onasis Essay Jackie Kennedy was the wife of John F. Kennedy, 35th president of the United States. Jackie Kennedy was known for her sense of style and elegance. Her second husband , Aristotle Onasis, was one of the wealthiest men in the world. Jackie was of a wealthy and socially prominent family. She studied at Vassar College and George Washington University. She graduated in 1951. For two years she worked as a photographer and a columnist for the Washington Times Herald, until her marriage in September 1953 to senator John F. Kennedy of Massachusetts. After a miscarriage and a stillbirth, she gave birth to daughter Caroline in 1957, and she was pregnant with John F. Kennedy Jr. when her husband was elected president in 1960. Her second son Patrick was born in 1963 and lived only 36 hours. On senator Kennedys election as president, Jackie became the focus of national and even international popular interest. As the sophisticated First Lady, she helped set the tone for the Kennedy Administration. She particularly interested herself in the White House itself and secured a number of important antique pieces for its part of a plan to restore several of its public rooms to period authenticity. She set up a fine arts commission for the White House and hired a curator. In February 1962 she conducted a widely praised televised tour of the White House. She was also responsible for setting fashion styles, wearing Oleg Cassini creations and the pillbox hat that became her trademark. On trips all over the world she was warmly received and did much informally to maintain good relations with various nations. The assassination of President Kennedy as they rode together in a Dallas, Texas motorcade in November 1963 thrust her even more into the national consciousness. After the immediate period of ceremony and mourning, Jackie withdrew slowly into the world of international society, becoming a Frequent subject of society gossip and the victim of publicity seekers and paparazzi. Apocalypses And Mark Gospel Essays - Prophets Of Islam,

Apocalypses And Mark Gospel Mark is most likely the first of the Gospels to be written because it is the shortest and tells of the ministry of Jesus. Mark stresses Jesus' message about the kingdom of God and how it is breaking into human life as good news and that Jesus himself is portrayed as the "gospel of God." Jesus is explained as the Son of God who is sent down to rescue everyone. His life is predestined as a sacrifice for humanity. The beginning of the book sets the tone of Mark by the actions of John the Baptist and God as he speaks during Jesus' baptism declaring Jesus his son. Also in the beginning Jesus is supposed to baptize the Holy Spirit and that the temptation of Satan fails. Examining the verse 14-15 of chapter 1 one can understand Jesus proclamation as Gospel: "fulfillment, the nearness of the kingdom and therefore the need for faith." From this point on we see miracles being performed on the people. It almost seems as though he is carrying out these miracles in order to make people either fear him, or prove to people who he is. People then start to take a real liking to him as he helps them unconditionally with all of their ailments. Jesus later appoints 12 disciples to carry out his reign and to drive out the demons as he is doing. Though we see in chapter three the introduction of the Apocalyptic thought. Jesus is accused of being "Beelzebul" which is a word used for Satan, they say this because they do not have an explanation for him driving out the demons. We also see in this chapter that Jesus say's that his family is those that believe in God and follow his reign. This insinuates the idea that Jesus is in all of us. Continuing the story we see Jesus is preparing for everything that is to happen. He is aware of the disciples that are going to betray him, and that he is going to be sentenced to death by Pilate. Then the Last Supper where he is to foretells the future. In chapter 13 we are told about the destruction of the Temple. This is very apocalyptic in tone because it tells of the falling of all the great buildings right down to the last stone. He says that there will be many wars, and many nations will fight but it will all be built again, saying that intervention will only happen after destruction. What he is talking about is the Romans coming to take over Jerusalem and to destroy the temple. Though Jesus does not say when this is going to happen. The book of Mark ends with Jesus being crucified and dying on the cross for everyone. He was buried and then the following day as Mary Magdedalene, Mary Mother of James and Salomon went to go anoint his body they found that his body was not there. They assumed that Jesus had risen. He appeared to the eleven and said go out and proclaim what has happened and those that believe will be saved and those that don't will be condemned. This is the final portion of Mark and it's proclaims that those who do not believe will be punished. This is a very similar attitude that was seen in Daniel as God the punisher.

Dec. of indep. essays

Dec. of indep. essays The Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson, left both a significant and bold impact on the history of this world. In truth, its writing was for the sole purpose of stating the reasons for a need for independence from the British Empire and listing the grievances for which drove them. However, the ring from this bell echoed on into history to influence such documents as the French Declaration of the Rights of Man and many other revolutionary based documents. Many of the old ideas found in the Declaration of Independence surround the general idea of self-government and popular sovereignty. Thomas Jefferson expressed the belief in and need for the colonies to be able to pass their own laws and be tried by their juries. He also recognized the need for taxation, but for taxation with representation. Above all these, Thomas Jefferson stressed the need for the people to be able to represent themselves in a representative government. This brought about the introduction and foundation to a new form a government, a government in which power flowed from the people, not a monarch. This new form of government, first introduced by Thomas Paine, would become known as a democratic republic. This idea of Republicanism was a new and radical idea that laid its foundation in the Declaration of Independence. One specific line of the Declaration of Independence has taken on a drastically different meaning from its original and historic context. This would be the line that reads, All men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. At the time of its writing, men consisted of only white males that owned property. Now, as everyone knows, events have changed social history and in the same token have changed the context of this statement. Men now refers to all people. This includes all male and females of all ethnicities...
